Toe the Line is a publication resulting from an action, a performance.
On a line of paper, as a road, a border or a stave, Lalu Delbracio peels and pokes holes, blurring the perimeter. Colours mix and shapes emerge, creating a river between shores. The remaining material is collected and bound into an artists' book.
Through these gestures, she questions the narratives we have been told about ourselves, reshuffling, rejecting and allowing for a new space to emerge.
